1. About the service

Auto Alert Jamaica.com is a reminder tool that helps you track vehicle document expiry dates such as Registration Certificate, Fitness, Insurance, and Driver's Licence. The app sends alerts based on the dates and preferences you enter. It is designed to be a helpful assistant, not a legal or official record of compliance.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to use the subscription features. You must provide accurate contact information so we can reach you with reminders and account notices.

3. Subscriptions & payments

The core reminder service is offered on a subscription basis. The current price is JMD $100 per month, with a 14-day free trial for new users. Billing is handled by our payment partner, and you authorise recurring charges until you cancel.

• Your trial converts to a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel before it ends.
• If a payment fails, your subscription may enter a grace period and reminders may be limited until payment is resolved.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription from the Billing page in the app.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support if you believe you were charged in error.

4. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

• Keep your account credentials secure and not share your login with others.
• Enter accurate expiry dates and update them when your documents are renewed.
• Only upload documents that belong to you or that you have permission to store.
• Not use the app to send spam, harass others, or store illegal content.
• Keep your own copies of official documents and verify expiry dates independently.

5. Document scanning & notifications

Document scanning uses AI to read expiry dates from photos. The results may not be perfect, so you should always review the extracted date before saving it. By enabling notifications, you consent to receive reminder messages through the channels you select.

6. Insurance renewal links

The app may provide links or let you save links to your insurer's renewal page. These links are a convenience feature only. We are not an insurance company, broker, or agent. We do not sell insurance, process insurance claims, or guarantee that a renewal link will be available, accurate, or accepted by the insurer. You must deal directly with your insurer for any actual coverage or payment.

7. Disclaimers & limitations

Auto Alert Jamaica.com is provided "as is" and "as available". We do our best to keep the app running and reminders accurate, but we cannot guarantee that every alert will be delivered on time or that every document date will be read correctly.

We are not affiliated with the Government of Jamaica, Tax Authority of Jamaica (TAJ), Ministry of Transport and Mining (MTP), or any insurer. Missing a reminder does not excuse you from keeping your documents valid. You are responsible for ensuring your vehicle remains legally compliant.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the issue arose, or JMD $100 if no payment was made.

8. Termination

You can stop using the app and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you violate these terms, misuse the service, or fail to pay when due.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use as the service changes. We will post the updated version here, and continued use of the app means you accept the revised terms. If a change is significant, we will try to notify you by email or in-app notice.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Jamaica.
